Fake invite detection

Fakes don't count

Invite rewards attract alt accounts. InviteCount checks every join against the rules you enable and moves suspicious ones to the fake column instead of the inviter's score.

  • Account age, self-invite, avatar, banner, rejoin and AutoMod rules
  • Rejoins count as fake, from the bot's own history
  • Choose your own minimum account age with /fakedelay Premium
  • Blacklisted roles whose members earn no invites Premium

How it works

Fake invite detection, in detail

Six rules, on or off

Enable the checks that fit your community:

  • Young account: created less than your minimum number of days ago
  • Self-invite: the member joined with their own invite
  • No profile picture
  • No profile banner
  • Rejoin: the member had already been on the server
  • AutoMod: Discord quarantined the member's username

All or any

Strict servers can flag a join as soon as one enabled rule matches. Relaxed servers can require every enabled rule to match, which only catches the most obvious alts.

Your threshold, your logs

On Premium servers, /fakedelay sets the minimum account age in days, and the fake invite log posts each flagged join with the reasons that triggered it.

Counting rules

Turn on "rejoins count as fake" and anyone the bot has already seen on your server counts as a fake invite when they come back, whatever the rules above say. On Premium servers, up to 50 blacklisted roles stop their members from earning invites at all.

Common questions

More in the documentation.

Are fake invites deleted?

No. They stay visible in the fake count of the inviter, so staff can review them, and they no longer count in the regular total.

Where do I turn the rules on?

On the Fake invites page of the dashboard, where you pick the rules and whether one or all of them must match. The minimum account age is 3 days on free servers; Premium servers choose their own, also with /fakedelay.

What is the difference between the two rejoin rules?

The rejoin rule reads Discord's own flag and is combined with your other rules. "Rejoins count as fake", turned on with /countingrules rejoins, uses the bot's own history and always applies, whatever the other rules say. Both are free.
