Privacy and data

A summary of the data InviteCount keeps, for how long, and how to have it deleted.

This page is a summary. The reference is the Privacy Policy on our website.

What the bot keeps#

  • Invites: who invited whom, through which invite, when, and whether the join was fake.
  • Messages: how many messages each member sent, and their XP. The bot counts messages; it doesn't keep what they say.
  • Server settings: everything you configure on the dashboard.
  • Feature records: giveaway entries, tickets and transcripts, raid incidents, honeypot catches, verification links.

Message content#

Discord gives bots the text of members' messages only through its Message Content permission. When Discord has granted it to InviteCount, the bot reads message content only in ticket channels (to keep it in transcripts) and in honeypot channels (to show the message that triggered the trap in the report posted on Discord; it is never stored). Everywhere else, it only counts messages.

Dashboard login#

The dashboard asks Discord only for your identity (ID, username, avatar) and your server list. It never sees your password or email address. Your session lasts up to 7 days.

Files and services#

  • Ticket transcripts, the attachments copied into them, and bot profile images are stored in a private Cloudflare R2 bucket.
  • Images you upload in the dashboard for your messages are stored on Cloudflare R2 and served from a public link, so Discord can display them.
  • Website verification uses Cloudflare Turnstile. InviteCount keeps only a fingerprint of the link, deleted about one day after it expires.
  • Payments go through Patreon. InviteCount never sees your payment details.
